Making our gingerbread house

The kids got these cute matching Christmas pajamas from their grandma tamz and wanted to show them off. Yes, that is a terrified look in abby's eyes as they drop her so they can make a silly face. We made gingerbread houses the other night and the kids were so excited
They couldn't wait to make thier gingerbread houses. We bought the kit about a week before we made the gingerbread houses and every night hunter would ask 10 times if we could make them. Needless to say he was very excited to make thier gingerbread house.

Decorating the Tree

When we were decorating our Christmas tree Madi thought that all the ornaments should go on one limb. Ther are about nine of them on that one limb.

Here is a picture of the kids in thier cute Christmas outfits Grandma Tamz bought them.

Gymnastics for madi

We have recently put madi in gymnastics. We were a little worried because t-ball was such a disaster but we have found something madi loves. We have also decided that she was built to be a gymnast. She is really strong and seems to do really well. She loves it!

Halloween

This Halloween was as busy as the years past. We had preschool parties for Madi, Hunter had a party in kindergarten. We also had the annual gray family Halloween party on Friday night, with the annual doughnut eating contest. We then had a lunch on Sat with all the Mortensen clan followed by trick or treating at the mall. We then headed home to trick or treat in the rain. Overall a very fun filled holiday with lots and lots of candy.

Hunter's short Karate career

After only a month of Karate, hunter has decided that it is not for him. I was glad that I had got some pictures of him while he was going.

Carving Pumpkins

We had our annual carving of the pumpkins for family home evening. It was pretty fun for the kids. After all the work of cleaning out their pumpkin the kids decided to put stickers on their pumpkins

Deer hunting

We went up Benny creek a week before the hunt to scout out a place for the guys to hunt. Since there was no deer this year on the hunt this is the only picture we have to show for our hunting experience.

Halloween Cruise

We took the kids on a Halloween cruise this year. We had left Abby with my mom because we didn't want her to get cold. It was the first time we had ever done it. We had to wait forever to actually get on the cruise and then it was so much fun that Madi told me the next time we went on the boat she wanted to just stay home with grandma and play.

Cornbelly's

For the past two years we have gone to cornbelly's at thanksgiving point. This is probably one of my kids favorite fall activities. This year we went with just our family and ended up staying for around 4 1/2 hours. Hunter and Madison ran from activity to activity and were still not ready to go home.

They have a princess area that you can dress up in or play on the horse and carriage.

Doesn't she look like she is having lots of fun!

This is the big play area that they have.

I think I had more fun then they did at the jump things.

Cutest kids ever!!!

Lotoja

Brady and his brother Cody did the Lotoja race this last week. Lotoja stands for Logan to Jackson hole. It 206 miles and lots of climbing, you also go through three states. They both did awesome and finished the race!

Both of them finishing the race.
This is a picture of us at bear world on the way home the next day. It was an awesome place to visit.

Abby's Baby Blessing.

We finally blessed baby abby. We were so happy to have the support of our family and friends. We are even more pleased to have such a wonderful baby in our family. We love her so much and we are so blessed to be able to have her in our family.
Here are my cute little sweethearts right after the blessing.

We were so excited to have Great Grandma and Grandpa Jones come down.
They were starting to get a little impatient and wanted to go play with thier cousins.

Lagoon

Every Year my parents take the whole family to lagoon. This year Brady had to work and missed out but we managed to still have some fun. The kids loved lagoon and didn't want to leave. They were so brave and would ride any ride they were tall enough for. Madi was bound and determined to ride the rides she wasn't tall enough for. She actually made me measure her for the wild mouse five times because she thought she had grown since the last time. Hunter was able to go on a couple older rides this year and loved it.

Hunter The Soccer Star

Hunter is loving soccer this year. He is all over that field. His favorite thing to do is score goals. He even scored three goals in his last game. Uncle Brun told him that was called a hat trick and now he tells everyone thinking he is so cool.

Hunter's First Day of Kindergarten

So I am a little late on getting hunter's first day of school posted on our blog, but I guess better late than never. Hunter was very excited to go to school for the first time. As the day got closer and closer he seemed to be getting a little more nervous. When I brought him to school the first day he was a little scared but he was a trooper. His mommy on the other hand was having a hard time and cried all the way home. He is loving kindergarten and doing great.

Horseback riding

We had our gray family reunion at my parent's house. Most years we end up riding the horses. I was really surprised that my kids wanted to ride as much as they did but we couldn't pull them off at the end of the night.
Here they sit patiently waiting for their turn. There were lots of kids wanting to ride.

Hunter was awesome and wanted to ride alone.

Jello Painting

Every summer we have a water day where we get to paint ourselves with jello. This is the favorite summer day for all the kids. This year they went a little nuts with the jello.

Kaleb was not loving the idea of painting himself with jello.

Hunter and his classic pose for pictures.
