Madi found the makeup

Madi has started using makeup. She puts it on and then looks in the mirror and says "cute." Then she asks everyone if she looks cute. I didn't think girls were worried about their looks this early in life, I guess I really did need a sister so maybe I would have had a clue of what to expect with my little girl.

St. George

Brady here again. Well we had a great weekend in St. George this last weekend. We shared a condo with with Cody, Erin, and Cohen. It was alot of fun and the kids loved the swimming pools and playgrounds. Me and Cody had a 75 mile bike ride, and a 35 miler for my dad which he crushed. The hills were tiring, but the wind was brutal. You know it's gonna be a long ride when you are pedalling hard and going downhill and only reaching 13 mph. Thankfully the last 20 miles were closer to St. George where the wind wasn't nearly as bad for the finish. Overall a pretty decent ride, better for Cody who beat me by about a half hour.
These pics were taken by a photographer on the course while riding around sand hollow. This area was horrible with the blowing sand and at some parts was an inch deep on the road that we had to ride through.

On Sunday before we went home we went up to Dixie rock. Hunter loved being up there. Madi was a bit tired and didn't enjoy it as much. There was one part that's really thin that I was taking hunter through, but sadly I couldn't make it all the way through so I had to send him by himself. But it was alot of fun being in St. George, the weather was awesome, but I could have done without the wind. Unfortunately we forgot our camera so I will have to try and get some from my mom and maybe get some posted on here.

Bowling

So we decided to take the kids bowling for family home evening. We had some family go a week ago and they loved it so we thought we would try it. OUr kids loved it. They had so much fun, Madi and hunter were great in fact they came in 1st and 2nd. Madi even got to where she wouldn't let us come up with her she had to do it all herself. Hunter was great at placing the thing he used to roll the ball. OVerall a very fun family night! By the way I sadly came in last with brady coming in third.

Brady here posting again. We took our annual snowmobiling trip up to Christmas Meadows a few weeks ago. This picture was when we took the kids sledding. We didn't take too many pictures while we were up there so this is all we got. We had a lot of fun that weekend, and not surprisingly brought a few of the snowmobiles back with damage. I would have to say that I got stuck the fewest times, Erin got stuck by far the most times, and that was just in one area that she couldn't quite get out of. My dad got us in the most peculiar places, but that just made things funner, except for Erin of course. Oh ya and our first ride, we had just barely gotten off the path before she got stuck for the first time. And boy it didn't end there. Sorry Erin, but these things aren't forgotten quickly. We had some good times playing cards at nights as well and of course watching any olympics that they would show, which usually meant a few good things and a lot of figure skating.

Saturday was the official start to cycling season for Team Mort. Me and Cody went to the weekly Crit race up at the RMR. It was pretty fun and pretty cold. We had about 18 people in our group which had a split of 5 out front and another group of 6 that me and Cody were in about 100 yards behind the front group that we couldnt quite catch again. Cody ended with an awesome sprint finish to beat our group and I faltered a bit and came in 4th in our little group so and overall of 9th. It was a good ride overall, especially since last year we were usually being dropped by the final three laps. But I see good things in our future for Team Mort, which we should have most of us down in St. George on the last weekend of this month for the Tour of St. George. Should be good times and hopefully good weather.
